Founded in 1958, Ningxia Medical University (NXMU) is a prominent medical institution in northwest China. It has 4 core disciplines (Medicine, Science, Management, Engineering) with 8 national first-class undergraduate programs, 6 doctoral, and 17 master’s degree authorization points. The university maintains a faculty team, including 180 doctoral supervisors and 1,150 master’s supervisors, to provide excellent medical education. NXMU spans two campuses (Yanhu & Shuangyi) covering 1,700 mu, blending serene landscapes with rich cultural vibes. It includes 18 teaching institutions, 2 directly-affiliated hospitals, 12 non-directly-affiliated hospitals, and 52 internships—offering abundant clinical practice opportunities. Additionally, NXMU provides HSK/MCT support to help international students enhance their Chinese language proficiency. Key facilities include complete teaching resources, advanced medical equipment, and comfortable accommodation for international students that offers 2-bed, 3-bed, and 4-bed shared rooms to suit different needs; each campus also has different flavor food to cater to diverse dietary preferences of its global student community. For cultural immersion, NXMU draws on cultural practice bases to organize traditional Chinese culture activities.
