一、Eligibility

1)Applicant should be under the age of 35. An applicant under the age of 18 shall submit the legal documents of his/her legal guardian(s) in China. 

2)Applicant should be in good health both mentally and physically.

3)Applicant should be an academically excellent holder of high school diploma or above, fresh high school graduates shall submit the pre-graduation certificate issued by his or her school.

4)Applicant should be a citizen of a country other than the PRC. Foreign citizens of Chinese origin who are now applying to study in China as international students must have held a valid foreign passport for at least 4 years, and must have actually resided in a foreign country for at least 2 years in the past 4 years (as of April 30, 2025) (9 months of residence in a foreign country may count as a full year).

5)Applicant should have no criminal record and no drug addiction history; Applicant should be willing to abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and relevant school regulations.

6)Applicant should meet the admission requirements of the university of preference in terms of language proficiency.

7)Applicant should take the university entrance examination or assessment.

1. Application fee： CNY400 (it is not refundable whether you are enrolled or not).

2. Seat fee： CNY3000 for degree programs (Seat fee works as pre-paid tuition and is non-refundable).

3. Insurance fee： CNY 800/ 1 Academic Year

四、Documents Required

Applicant should log in to the online application website (http://isam.zust.edu.cn)，fill in the information truthfully and upload the following application materials in the system as required:

1. Application form (Applicants must be done in the application system :( http://isam.zust.edu.cn)

2. A scanned copy of the Passport Cover & the Passport Information Page, scanned copies of all visa pages in China;

3. Diploma and certificate of Senior high school graduation certificate (notarized photocopy in Chinese or English); If the original certificate is not in English or Chinese, a notarized translation version is also required. Fresh high school graduates shall be issued a pre-graduation certificate by their school, and the original high school graduation certificate must be submitted when students register;

4.  Academic transcripts in high school. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English shall be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English; If the original transcript is not in English or Chinese, a notarized translation version is also required.

5. Language qualification certificates.

For Chinese-taught programs, applicants must submit valid HSK reports in accordance with the corresponding Chinese proficiency requirements (Students applying for Chinese-taught bachelor majors in science, engineering, economics, management, and art must have a score of 180 or above in HSK; students applying for Chinese-taught bachelor majors in literature and education need to reach HSK4 195 points and above). Exemption from the Chinese Proficiency Certificate requirement applies to those who have obtained a degree with Chinese as the medium of instruction.

For English-taught programs, applicants whose native language is not English are required to provide proof of English proficiency, such as IELTS, TOEFL or other English proficiency certificates, or pass the entrance English test of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (for English-taught bachelor students). Exemption of the English Proficiency Certificate requirement applies to: (1) native English speakers or those for whom English is an official language; (2) individuals with other equivalent English proficiency certificates (which must be reviewed and approved by ZUST).

6. Certificate of Non-Criminal Record (or Police Clearance Certificate) ; A statement of no drug addiction history;

7. Application fee payment voucher (CNY 400 or USD 65);

8. Transfer letter with class attendance for students who have been or are studying in other universities in China;

9. Statement of Financial Support (Bank statement to prove that the applicant has sufficient fund to afford his or her tuition, accommodation and living expenses in China);

10. Valid Foreigner Physical Examination Form.

NOTE: The application documents and application fee will not be returned whether you are accepted or not.
