一、Requirements for scholarship application

(1) Applicants shall be non-Chinese citizens and in good health.

Note: According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education of China, those who emigrated to other countries from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan and applying to study in ZUST as international students, shall meet the following additional requirements:

The applicants shall hold valid passport or other relevant internationally  recognized documents for at least 4 years; meanwhile, in the latest 4 years (by April 30th, 2025), the applicants shall have stayed overseas for 2 years (Living overseas for 9 months can be converted to 1 year, which is subject to the exit-entry stamp on visa).

(2) Good moral character and no criminal record; Willing to abide by the laws  and regulations of the People's Republic of China and the relevant rules and regulations of ZUST. Providing Anti-drug commitment.

(3) Requirements for education and age：

under the age of 30 as a high school graduate upon the application

(4)All applicants need to take ZUST entrance examination.

二、Language Proficiency

(1) For Chinese-taught programs, HSK certificates within 2 years are required

(2) For Chinese-taught Bachelor Programs: HSK4≥180;

(3) For English-taught programs, you need to meet the following qualification:English-aught Bachelor Programs: IELTS 5.5 or TOFEL IBT≥80

English proficiency proof such as IELTS, TOEFL or other English proficiency certificates of equivalent level within 2 years are required, otherwise the applicants should pass the entrance English test of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST) .

三、Academic Requirements

(1) For Bachelor Programs

1)  Applicants shall be a senior high school graduate or above, graduating students shall provide a pre-graduation certificate. (to prove that the applicants can graduate before July 2025 and acquire his/her diploma).

2)  Applicants shall provide senior high school transcript with excellent grades.

四、How to apply

1) Log in to the Zhejiang University of Science and Technology online application system at https://isam.zust.edu.cn/ to complete the application for the degree program and scholarship. After passing the document review and entrance assessment, you will receive the pre-admission notice for the degree program. Then, please pay the application fee of 400 RMB (non-refundable) and the pre-paid tuition fee of 3000 RMB (non-refundable) online.

2) The Scholarship Committee of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology will review the application materials and determine the scholarship candidates

3) The Scholarship Committee of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology will announce the list of scholarship candidates.

4) Scholarship recipients will be awarded official Scholarship Notice.

五、Note:

1) Admitted students are required to pay seat fee (prepaid tuition, 3000RMB) in time,otherwise, they will not be eligible for the scholarship candidate list. Scholarship recipients must complete the registration and enrollment within the time frame set by ZUST. Those who miss the deadline without approval will be disqualified from scholarship.

2) Scholarship recipients must submit all original application materials at the start of the semester for enrollment qualification verification and registration. Students who fail to pass the enrollment qualification verification will not be able to complete their registration and will have both their scholarship and enrollment eligibility canceled.

3) School of International Education (SOIE) is responsible for the first-round selection of the winners of the Scholarship. After the preliminary selection of the application materials, the SOIE shall forward the selected material to the subordinate schools for further review, and the final decision will be made by Zhejiang University of Science and Technology Scholarship Committee. At the end of the first semester, the SOIE will evaluate the scholarship recipients’academic performance, attendance records, and personal conduct.

Note: the qualification of the scholarship will be canceled if the scholarship winners have any of the following conduct:

a. Fail to pass the required courses

b. Fail to keep a good attendance record required by the SOIE (reasons include sick 

leave, personal leave and absenteeism)

c. Fail to participate the examination

d. Cheat in the examinations

e. Have been imposed of a punishment of warning or above will not be able to receive the scholarship in the next semester.

Those who pass the review can keep their Scholarship in the next semester.
