
About ZCST
Located in southern Fujian, China, Zhangzhou College of Science and Technology (ZCST) is a non-profit higher vocational institution offering nationally unified enrollment and recruiting students home and abroad. ZCST was established in 2007 by Mr.Lee Ruiho, a renowned entrepreneur from Taiwan province, who is also known as the World Tea King, and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Tenren and Tenfu Groups across the Taiwan Strait. ZCST’s development was based on Tenfu Tea College and up to now has developed into a comprehensively vocational college with seven secondary schools covering science, technology apart from tea and food industry.
Campus Life
As a main part of Tenfu Group, Zhangpu County, ZCST is only more than one hour-ride from Xiamen, the well-known Special Economic Zone in Southern China, and stands out with a garden-style campus on the hillsides shaded by green trees, covering an total area of more than 1,700 acres. The traditional southern Fujian architecture harmoniously integrate with modern teaching and lab buildings. In the large campus there are comprehensive teaching and living facilities, including a standard sports field, a standard gym, a swimming pool, a library, and student dormitories with life conveniences.
About Majors
With a strong and lofty educational plot, ZCST has more than 17,000 students and 800 faculties in seven secondary schools committed to cultivating and educating high-level technical professionals for the 21st century. ZCST offers more than 42 majors among these different schools covering a variety of sci-tech and art majors, including tea and food science&technology, business, arts, tourism, education, medicine, information technology, and artificial intelligence as well.
College Features
Based on a distinctive talent cultivation model, ZCST possesses special characteristics in running the college like “Fujian-Taiwan Cooperation” and “College-Enterprise Integration”, both jointly and helpfully backing up students in their academic and professional career.
In terms of Fujian-Taiwan Cooperation, relying on its geographical advantages and resources from Tenfu Group, ZCST has set up sister-school relationships with 25 universities/colleges in Taiwan area. It focuses on such key majors as food baking, cosmetics and nursing, and deepens cross-strait educational integration by exposing students to unique Taiwan vocational education conceptions through faculty and student exchange, sharing joint training laboratories as well as cooperative academic and professional programs.
In College-Enterprise Integration, ZCST has successfully launched a variety of training programs with Tenfu Group, co-built training bases with dozens of enterprises across the country. All these programs and projects have achieved precise alignment for the teaching and industrial requirements, providing students with dual guarantees for practical professional training and employment.
Go Global
ZCST is actively moving on the road of international exchange and cooperation, yielding fruitful outcomes in international education. Since 2009, ZCST has hosted dozens of China-Aid Projects commissioned by the National Ministry of Commerce. By the end of 2025, a total of 1,621 participants from 66 countries have attended various themed training courses at ZCST, which cover agriculture, tourism, telecommunication and tea-related specialties. The implementation of these China-Aid Training Program has played a positive role in strengthening the understanding and relationship between China and the participant countries as well as the popularization and exchange in tourism, agricultural technologies and electronic communication. Meanwhile, these programs have fully demonstrated China’s achievements in economic and social development, and made significant contributions to publicizing the Chinese culture abroad and advancing the Belt and Road Initiative as well.
In addition, ZCST has absorbed dozens of overseas students from Taiwan and Hongkong areas, playing a positively significant role in promoting the cross-strait relations.
