Journalism and Communication: Digital Media and Communication

Program Overview

This program leverages the strong faculty resources of the university and the school to cultivate international students from Belt and Road countries. These students will develop modern communication competencies, master the latest digital media technologies and concepts, and aspire to become cultural ambassadors and inheritors of outstanding traditional Chinese culture. Upon completion of all program requirements and successful defense of their thesis, students will be awarded a Master of Journalism and Communication degree.

Highlight

The journalism and communication discipline at Nanjing University represents the origin of higher education in audiovisual communication in China. The School consists of three departments: Radio, Film and Television, Applied Communication, and Journalism & New Media, along with eight research institutions covering areas such as Internet Communication, Media Economics and Management, and Computational Communication Research. Nanjing University's journalism and communication discipline ranks among the top ten in China. Over the past decade, it has ranked fourth nationally in terms of CSSCI publications and within the top five for citation frequency.
