MOFCOM Scholarship - Master of Meteorology Program

  • Atmospheric Science discipline: State-level key discipline, ranked No. 1 in national discipline evaluations

  • Research areas include: Dynamics of Atmospheric Circulation Anomaly, Monsoon and Air-sea-land Interaction, Typhoon and Meso-and Micro-scale Meteorology, Data Assimilation and Numerical Forecasting, Climatic Numerical Modeling, Climate Change and Regional Effect

  • Host to WMO Regional Training Centre Nanjing, training over 6,000 meteorological personnel for 160 countries

III. Scholarship Coverage

  • Full tuition waiver

  • Free on-campus accommodation

  • Living allowance: 36,000 CNY/year

  • One-time settlement allowance: 3,000 CNY

  • Comprehensive medical insurance

  • Fees for teaching materials, field study, and thesis instruction

IV. Eligibility Requirements

  1. Non-Chinese citizens from developing countries

  2. Government cadres (division level or above), senior management staff, or leading academic talents

  3. Bachelor's degree in atmospheric science (GPA 2.8/4.0 or above)

  4. Minimum 2 years relevant work experience

  5. Age under 45

  6. English proficiency (TOEFL 80+ or IELTS 6.0+ for non-native speakers)

  7. Good physical and mental health

    (Choose "Program Category Type B", Agency No.: 10300)

  3. Submit required documents to Economic and Commercial Counselor's Office of Chinese Embassy

  4. Application deadline: June 6, 2025

  1. Notarized highest diploma and transcripts

  2. Study plan (minimum 1,000 words)

  3. Two recommendation letters

  4. English proficiency certificate

  5. Physical examination form

  6. Passport copy

  7. No-criminal record certificate
