Jinzhou Medical University was founded in 1946 and has developed over 70 years into a multi-disciplinary, multi-level provincial medical university, covering an area of 1.8471 million square meters. The university has established six major disciplines, 29 undergraduate programs, and several master’s degree programs. In 2021, it ranked 28th among medical universities nationwide, with disciplines such as Clinical Medicine ranked in the top 1% globally by ESI (Essential Science Indicators).

Admission Requirements

A. The applicants shall be non-Chinese citizen, and meet the requirements of JWH [2020] No. 12 Document of the Education Ministry of China. The applicants shall be physically and mentally healthy, with no criminal records, and willing to abide by the laws and regulations of China and the regulations of Jinzhou Medical University.

B. Applicants should be between 18 and 30 years old as of September 1st, 2026. Applicants who are under the age of 18 shall submit a guarantee letter from his/her guardians in China when applying.

C.Applicants for English-taught programs shall hold a TOEFL 70+(with sub score of 15+) or IELTS Certificate 6.0+(with sub score of 5+). Applicants, with mother tongue of English or have previous degrees in English can be exempted from TOEFL and IELTS Certificate if certified by Jinzhou Medical University.

D. If the applicant’s parents are or one of the parents is Chinese, or the applicant has emigrated from Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and acquired foreign nationality, according to the No.12 Announcement of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China (2020), they shall be naturalized for 4 years or more (before April 30, 2024) and have more than 2 years of residence in foreign countries during this period (The actual residence in a foreign country for more than 9 months in a year can be calculated as one year, subject to the entry and exit stamps).

Applicants born in foreign countries are required to meet the above criteria, and provide personal birth certificates and parents' nationality certificates.

E. Academic Proficiency Test Requirements

Applicants are required to take the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA), which serves as one of the core admission criteria for undergraduate study in China.

Mathematics (Compulsory): All applicants must take the Mathematics test.

Physics and Chemistry (Elective): Applicants applying for medical-related programs at our university must take at least one of the two subjects — Physics or Chemistry. Applicants who do not take either subject will be deemed ineligible for medical program applications.

Language of Examination: Test papers for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry are available in both Chinese and English. Applicants should select the language according to the medium of instruction of their intended program.

Test Schedule: Starting from 2026, the CSCA will be offered on a regular basis five times per year, in January, March, April, June, and December. Detailed test schedules and arrangements will be announced on the official website (https// www.csca.cn).
