Jinzhou Medical University was founded in 1946 and has developed over 70 years into a multi-disciplinary, multi-level provincial medical university, covering an area of 1.8471 million square meters. The university has established six major disciplines, 29 undergraduate programs, and several master’s degree programs. In 2021, it ranked 28th among medical universities nationwide, with disciplines such as Clinical Medicine and Pharmacology ranked in the top 1% globally by ESI (Essential Science Indicators).
The university has over 13,000 students, including international students from across 49 countries along the “Belt and Road.” It has 87 teaching and internship bases, including three directly affiliated hospitals and five non-directly affiliated hospitals. Jinzhou Medical University is authorized by the Ministry of Education to offer an all-English clinical medicine program for international students and is a designated institution for Chinese Government Scholarship students.
