6月25日，锦州医科大学与怀卡托理工学院合作办学项目联合管理委员会2026年年会在学校图书馆学术研讨室召开。怀卡托理工学院校长沃里克·皮茨、国际总监吉利什·奈尔、跨国教育经理马克刘与学校党委副书记、校长曲巍，党委常委、副校长温有锋、李航宇出席会议，合作办学项目联合管理委员会全体中方成员参加会议。会议由学校国际交流合作中心主任朱晓梅主持。此次年会时值项目首届毕业生顺利毕业、培养模式优化升级的关键节点，对于深化两校战略合作、推动项目提质升级具有重要意义。
On June 25th, the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Joint Management Committee of the Cooperative Education Program between Jinzhou Medical University and Waikato Institute of Technology was held in the Academic Seminar Room of the university library. Warwick Pitts, President of Waikato Institute of Technology, Gillish Nair, International Director, and Mark Liu, Transnational Education Manager, attended the meeting along with Qu Wei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Jinzhou Medical University, and Wen Youfeng and Li Hangyu, members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice Presidents of Jinzhou Medical University. All Chinese members of the Joint Management Committee of the Cooperative Education Program participated in the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Zhu Xiaomei, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Center of Jinzhou Medical University. This annual meeting, held at a crucial juncture—the successful graduation of the first cohort of students and the optimization and upgrading of the training model—is of great significance for deepening the strategic cooperation between the two universities and promoting the quality improvement and upgrading of the program.

On behalf of the university, Qu Wei extended a warm welcome to Warwick Pitts, President of Waikato Institute of Technology, and expressed sincere gratitude for Waikato Institute of Technology's continued attention and strong support during the project's progress. While affirming the project's four-year history and achievements, Qu Wei put forward three hopes for future cooperation: first, to improve the quality of talent cultivation; second, to broaden the dimensions of cooperation and exchange; and third, to build a brand for the cooperative education program, injecting new momentum into the project's high-quality and sustainable development.

In his remarks, Warwick Pitts expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm reception from the university. He pointed out that the pragmatic cooperation between the two universities is of great strategic significance to the development of Waikato Institute of Technology, and the high degree of alignment between the two sides in their core mission of "educating and empowering students" has laid a solid foundation for their cooperation. It is precisely because of the long-term close collaboration and mutual trust between the two universities that their cooperation has achieved remarkable results. Looking to the future, he expressed his confidence in the prospects of the cooperative education program between the two universities.
年会围绕联合管理委员会成员变更、新一期合作协议签署、师资培训体系优化、学生升学通道拓展等议题进行了深入探讨与充分磋商，并依程序进行表决，达成多项共识。
The annual meeting focused on in-depth discussions and full consultations on issues such as changes in the joint management committee members, the signing of a new cooperation agreement, optimization of the teacher training system, and expansion of student pathways to higher education. The meeting also voted on these issues according to procedure and reached several consensuses.
本次联合管理委员会年会圆满完成全部既定议题，充分体现两校深度合作、共谋发展的办学诚意，为项目提质增效、行稳致远、高质量发展奠定了坚实基础。
The Joint Management Committee Annual Meeting successfully completed all its planned agenda items, fully demonstrating the sincerity of the two universities in deepening cooperation and jointly seeking development, and laying a solid foundation for improving the quality and efficiency of the project, ensuring its steady and long-term development, and achieving high-quality growth.
