Scholarship Eligibility

1. Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health both mentally and physically.

Non-current students (excluding graduating students)

2. Applicants for bachelor's degree should have a high school diploma, be under the age of 25, and have reached HSK level 3;

3. Applicants for a master's degree should have a bachelor's degree and a bachelor's degree, and be under the age of 35;

4. Applicants for a doctor's degree should have a master's degree, and be under the age of 40;

5. ave acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 4 when applying for Chinese-taught master’s and doctor's programs;

6. The applicant's nationality is limited to Kyrgyzstan, Dominica, Fiji, Guinea, Uganda, South Sudan, Thailand, Ghana, Laos, Cambodia

7. Meet the admission requirements of ZJUT in terms of academic ability, language proficiency and other relevant criteria.

Duration of Funding

The subsidy period of professional study is consistent with the basic study years, which is 4 years for bachelor students and doctor students,  2.5 or 3 years for master students.

Scholarship Standard

• Free tuition 

• Free dormitory or accommodation subsidy

• Living expenses:

Bachelor degree: 2,500 yuan/month;

Master's degree: 3,000 yuan/month; 

Doctor's degree: 3,500 yuan/month;

• Comprehensive medical insurance: 800 yuan/person/year

Application Materials

1. Copy of Passport Home Page;

2. Notarized highest diploma;

3. Academic transcripts (from the high school program onwards)；

4. Language qualification certificates. like HSK or IELTS or TOFEL report;

5. Acceptance letter;(students who apply for doctor’s programs should contact with supervisor and get acceptance letter before submit application on ZJUT website);

6. A study plan proposal. A study plan written in Chinese or English shall contain more than 1,000 characters or words; the proposal of a doctoral student shall be signed by the applicant’s Chinese supervisor; 

7. Recommendation letters. Two letters of recommendation (written only in Chinese or English) from professors or associate professors shall be submitted. These letters shall describe the applicant’s objectives of learning in China, comprehensive abilities, and evaluation of future growth, as well as the cooperation between the supervisors or the exchange between universities both in China and abroad;

8. Applicants under the age of 18 should submit the valid documents of their legal guardians in China.

9. A photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English (the original copy shall be kept by the applicant) the result is valid for only 6 months.

10. Non-criminal record report, issued within 6months prior to the submission date of the application.

Application Procedure

1. The applicants login the application system of Zhejiang University of Technology (https://zjut.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx) to choose the Chinese Government Scholarship - Type B Silk Road Scholarship, complete the online application, upload the application materials;

2. The school will review the materials and arrange the assessment. The school will send the review result to the applicants who pass the assessment through our application system;

3. The applicants login CSC application system (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login), fill in the Chinese government scholarship application form online and submit other required application materials.

4. The university will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the students who have submitted scholarship applications in the CSC application System and determine the recommendation list to submit to the China Scholarship Council.

5. The CSC system will announce the admission result after the CSC has confirmed the candidates for the scholarship, and the applicants can log in the system to check by themselves; The school will send the admission notice and materials to the applicant.
