Sichuan City Vocational College News (by Hou Shiling, School of Smart Elderly Care) — On September 30, the finals of the World Vocational College Skills Competition 2026, featuring the Health and Elderly Care and Infant and Toddler Care events, took place. Students from the School of Smart Elderly Care at Sichuan City Vocational College rose to the challenge and won one silver medal and one bronze medal.
本次赛事是职业教育领域高水平国际技能大赛。健康养老与婴幼儿托育赛道紧扣“一老一小”民生需求，全面考核选手照护实操、人文沟通、应急处置等综合能力。
As a high-level international skills competition in vocational education, the event’s Health and Elderly Care and Infant and Toddler Care track focuses on the needs of both older adults and young children. It comprehensively assesses competitors’ practical caregiving skills, interpersonal communication, emergency response, and other essential competencies.
备赛阶段，师生团队凝心聚力，对标世赛标准刻苦集训，打磨每一处操作细节。赛场上，参赛选手沉着应战，将人文关怀融入照护全过程，充分展现城院学子扎实的专业功底与温暖的职业素养。
During the preparation period, faculty members and students worked closely together, training intensively in accordance with competition standards and refining every detail of their practical procedures. In the competition, the students remained composed under pressure and integrated empathy and compassionate care into every stage of service, demonstrating both their solid professional skills and the warmth and dedication that characterize Sichuan City Vocational College students.
智慧康养学院表示，将继续深化岗课赛证融合，将大赛成果转化为教学资源，培养更多有温度、精技能的康养人才，为养老托育事业的发展做出更大的贡献。
The School of Smart Elderly Care stated that it will continue to deepen the integration of job requirements, coursework, skills competitions, and professional certifications, transforming competition achievements into teaching resources.
