University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) is an innovative university that integrates scientific research and education, focuses mainly on graduate education, and features outstanding undergraduate education. Its predecessor was the Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences established in 1978.
UCAS started to admit international students in 2000. Currently there are about 1,800 international students from nearly 100 countries and regions around the world, among which more than 1,000 are doctoral students, ranking top in China.
Based on the high-level research advantages and high-level human resources of CAS, UCAS is a "big university" that has four campuses in Beijing, five education centers outside Beijing and more than 110 CAS institutes throughout China. At various CAS institutes, there are 1 National Laboratory, 73 State Key Laboratories, 191 CAS Key Laboratories, 17 National Engineering Research Centers (Laboratories) and numerous national frontier scientific research projects, providing a solid and formidable scientific practice platform for student's education.
UCAS has a highly qualified faculty team consisting of teachers and supervisors from UCAS faculties and CAS institutes and a first-class scientific research environment for students to fulfill scientific research. At present, UCAS has about 13,000 academic supervisors, including more than 200 CAS members and more than 7,000 doctoral supervisors. It has a prominent teaching and research environment in mathematics, physics, chemistry, astronomy, earth science and biology in natural science as well as mechanics, materials, energy, electron and communication, automatic control and computers in engineering.
Applicants of UCAS can apply for Chinese Government Scholarship, ANSO scholarship and UCAS Scholarship for International Students, etc. In 2021, 52% of the students who are pursing degrees at UCAS were funded by the above mentioned scholarships and other financial support from international organizations, foreign government and local universities.
UCAS implements a centralized accommodation management and logistic support system towards international students. It provides on-campus accommodation to the international students admitted by CAS institutes in Beijing, UCAS faculties and the ones admitted by CAS institutes from other areas who are attending centralized training courses in Beijing. The campuses are also equipped by advanced teaching equipment and logistic support system. All these create a good learning and living environment for international students.

Introduction
The University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) accepts international students through over 20 UCAS faculties and over 100 institutes of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS).
UCAS provides over 200 Chinese-instructed Master’s programs and some English-instructed for international students.
General Conditions for Applicants
(1) Non-Chinese citizens who abide by China's laws and decrees, as well as UCAS's rules and regulations.
(2) Be of good character and in good health without any infectious disease or physical or mental diseases that may affect the normal study.
(3) Holding a bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
(4) English proficiency is required. For Chinese-taught programs, the applicant's Chinese proficiency shall reach at least HSK level 5.
(5) If you are currently pursuing a doctoral degree at any university/institution in China, you are NOT eligible for this program.

Introduction

Doctoral programs commonly last for 3-4 years. Certificates of graduation and degrees will be awarded to those who have met the requirements of graduation and degree conferment.
