China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) is well known for legal academics and enjoys a distinguished reputation in politics, economics, management and arts. It is one of the China’s top universities listed under the Double First-Class University Plan, the Project 211 and the Project 985 Strength Discipline Innovation Platform.
 
CUPL ranked 38th in the 2022 QS Rankings by Law Subject. CUPL is praised as the “the most prestigious law school for legal talent cultivation in China” Over the past 70 years or so, CUPL has educated and trained more than 300,000 graduates. It is the main force of national legal education and legal personnel training. Since the establishment of CUPL, the university has participated in almost all legislative activities in China and has assumed a leading role in the innovation of national legal education, legal theory and legal thought.
 
CUPL has a fully-fledged strategy for internationalization to consistently enhance its international engagement. Apart from teaching Chinese language courses, we also set up courses like legal Chinese, so that students can both learn Chinese and the basic legal knowledge at the same time.   • 3LL.M. in International Law

    Brief Introduction: 

    The master program in International Law is designed to provide advanced and practical knowledge of Chinese law to students & practitioners across the world, who feel more comfortable in using English as a medium of study. It includes three specific research fields, that is, Public International Law, Private International Law and International Economic Law, and you can choose from three of them through selecting different courses.

    The program is formally known as PhD in International Law, majoring in International and Comparative Law. The program welcomes research proposals in a wide range of research areas, such as international law, comparative law, commercial law, human rights law, maritime law, law of WTO, law of the seas, international environmental law, etc. The purpose of the program is to promote advanced and high leveled legal exchange and co-operation between CUPL and foreign students or academics.

    Brief Introduction: 

    Bachelor in International Politics aims for training students to have a broad knowledge base in humanities and social sciences, especially political theory and public policy fields. To study in our undergraduate program International Politics, you will have the opportunity to acquire solid theoretical foundation of international relations, systematical knowledge, skills and legal provisions of foreign affairs, and to understand the theoretical development of international relations at home and abroad.
