On April 20, 2026, the International College of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) hosted the inaugural “Day of Mutual Learning Between Chinese and Foreign Civilizations” at Yuquanlu Campus. Coinciding with Chinese Language Day and the Grain Rain solar term, the event was themed “Chinese Language Lights Up Colorful Dreams” and attracted nearly 200 Chinese and international teachers and students. With the Chinese language serving as a bridge and culture as a bond, participants experienced the charm of Chinese culture through immersive activities and interactive exchanges, and jointly promoted mutual learning among civilizations.

The event featured five engaging cultural experience activities: Spring Character Pasting, Character Recitation with Flying Arrows, Spring Voices in Recitation, Spring-themed Rubbing Art, and Oracle Bone Script Matching. These activities organically integrated language learning, cultural experience, and interpersonal interaction. Chinese and international teachers and students moved among the activity booths, appreciating the beauty of Chinese characters, experiencing the richness of traditional Chinese culture, and deepening mutual understanding and friendship in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. After completing the activities and collecting stamps, participants were able to redeem panda hanging ornaments, which further enhanced the fun and sense of participation. The venue was filled with laughter and enthusiasm, creating a warm and lively atmosphere and fully showcasing the active engagement and sincere interaction among Chinese and international members of the university community.
The establishment of the “Day of Mutual Learning Between Chinese and Foreign Civilizations” marked an important step in the International College’s efforts to deepen internationalized education and explore innovative approaches to cultural education. It also represented a proactive effort to promote communication, interaction, and integration among Chinese and international students, while fostering a diverse and inclusive campus culture. Building on this occasion, the college will continue to create platforms for dialogue and mutual learning among Chinese and international students—promoting mutual learning among civilizations through cultural integration and building shared understanding through exchange and dialogue—thereby advancing campus internationalization in a substantive and sustained manner.
