1.Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and valid ordinary foreign passport holders, healthy and well-behaved, with an educational background equivalent to that of the Chinese high school diploma, without any criminal records. Applicants shall abide by the laws and decrees of the Chinese government and related rules of university, respect the Chinese social morality and customs, and will not participate in any activities in China which are inappropriate to the capacity as a student.

2.Documents for Application (including but not limited to):

(1) Ordinary foreign passport. The passport should be valid before 31 December 2025.

(2) Senior high school diploma.Current high school students shall provide an official pre-graduation certificate. The original or notarized copy of the high school graduation certificate must be submitted no later than registration.

(3) Academic transcripts for all the courses in senior high school (original /notarized copy in English or Chinese).

(4) Applicants who have studied in China should provide the Discipline Record from previous school.

(5) Physical examination results.The results should be stamped by the hospital and issued within 6 months prior to the date of submission.

(6) Other supporting documents as required.

3.Applicants should be 18 years old or above by 31 August 2025. The applicants under the age of 18 shall provide certified documents of designation signed by their entrusted legal guardians in China (see Appendix 1 for template).

4.Chinese Proficiency Requirements

(1) Applicants for science and engineering program must have HSK (Level IV) certificate (with 180 points or above). HSK (Level V) certificate (with 180 points or above) is required for applicants for liberal arts, economic and management program. The certificate must be in valid period.

Applicants whose compulsory courses were taught in Chinese during secondary education (junior and senior high school) can be exempt from submitting HSK certificate by providing the academic documents.

(2) Applicants who haven't reached the required language level, can apply for Chinese language program in the International Exchange College (hereinafter as "IEC"). After achieving HSK (Level IV) certificate, they can apply for the degree study.

5.English Proficiency Requirements

For non-native English speakers who apply for English-taught programs, they should provide a score report of English Language Test (TOEFL 80+/IELTS 5.5+). The certificate must be in valid period. For applicants who cannot offer the above-mentioned standardized English test reports, they will be required to participate in an English test organized by IEC.

6.Requirements on Citizenship

According to the Document No. 12〔2020〕of the Ministry of Education of the PRC (see Appendix 2), If the applicant's parents or one of the parents are Chinese or the applicant has emigrated from Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and acquired foreign nationality for, they must be naturalized for 4 years or more and have more than 2 years of residence in foreign countries during the past 4 years. Actual residence in a foreign country for nine months out of a year may be counted as one year, based on entry and exit stamps.

---- Applicants who have given up their original Chinese citizenship and become foreign citizens should provide:

(1) Documents certifying the cancellation of Chinese citizenship.

(2) Documents certifying the acquirement of foreign citizenship.

(3) Exit and Entry Record on passport, from 30 April 2021 to 30 April 2025.

---- Applicants who have acquired foreign citizenship automatically at the time of birth in a foreign country, whose parents were both Chinese citizens, or one of the parents was a Chinese citizen should provide.

(1) Documents certifying acquiring foreign citizenship at the time of birth.

(2) Documents certifying parent's (with Chinese citizenship) permanent residence in foreign country before the birth of the applicant.

(3) Exit and Entry Record on passport, from 30 April 2021 to 30 April 2025.

If the applicant is concluded to have Chinese citizenship by the Chinese public security department after application, admission or enrollment, the applicant will be disqualified from application, admission or enrollment, or withdrawal from school will be required.
