On the afternoon of March 9, Changzhou College of Information Technology (CCIT) held the opening ceremony for the International Digital Art and Cultural Literacy Training Program for Thai participants. The ceremony was attended by Zheng Yiwen, Educational Practitioner of the Office of Vocational Education Commission of Thailand’s Ministry of Education, 22 teachers and student representatives from five Thai institutions including Golden Jubilee Royal Goldsmith College, Vice President Tao Dawei, as well as representatives from the Office of International and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, the School of Digital Creativity, and faculty members, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Sino-Thai vocational education exchange in digital art.

Vice President Tao Dawei extended a warm welcome to the Thai guests, teachers, and students. He noted that CCIT is consistently guided by the Belt and Road Initiative, deeply committed to the internationalization of vocational education. The Zheng He College in Thailand, established collaboratively with Thai institutions, serves as an important platform for Sino-Thai vocational education cooperation. This program represents another significant step in deepening this cooperation. CCITs School of Digital Creativity has a strong foundation in nurturing digital art talent, and the college has developed a mature humanities + skills international talent cultivation system. This program will use digital art as a medium for cross-cultural exchange and mutual learning, with the college providing comprehensive teaching support and services to ensure that Thai participants gain knowledge and friendship.

Qiu Tiancai, a faculty representative from Golden Jubilee Royal Goldsmith College, expressed appreciation for CCIT’s thorough preparation and recognized the college’s educational strength and academic atmosphere. He noted that digital art is an excellent medium for cross-cultural communication. He expressed hope that the Thai participants would seize this learning opportunity to absorb the Chinese experience and achievements in digital art education, and anticipated that this program would facilitate deeper collaboration between Chinese and Thai institutions in areas such as faculty exchange and teaching and research in digital art.

Liu Dan, Deputy Dean of the School of Digital Creativity, as the program host, introduced the curriculum, faculty, and teaching arrangements. Considering the needs of Thai vocational education and the characteristics of the participants, CCIT designed a specialized curriculum covering digital art theory, creative design practice, and digital media production. Instruction will be delivered through a variety of methods, including theoretical explanations, case studies, and hands-on exercises. A core faculty team has been assembled to ensure quality instruction. The college also looks forward to exchanging pedagogical insights with Thai educators and exploring pathways for digital art vocational education suited to both China and Thailand.

The ceremony concluded with a group photo, followed by a tour for Thai participants of the college’s history museum, digital art training classrooms, and teaching exhibition halls, providing them with a tangible sense of CCIT’s educational environment and achievements in digital creativity.

This training program, as a key initiative in advancing the “2.0 version” of “vocational education going global” and deepening Sino-Thai vocational education integration, uses AI digital art as a medium to foster cultural exchange among Chinese and Thai youth, injects new vitality into the collaborative development of vocational education in Belt and Road partner countries, and further enriches the collaborative substance of the “Zheng He College” in Thailand.
