The International Economics and Trade major is a provincial-level key major and the only college-level international-accredited major. There are 18 professional teachers all have overseas study or visiting experience. The major offers a whole english course system of International business & digital trade，aims to train students to adapt to the new trend of globalization, master theoretical knowledge and professional skills in international trade, digital trade and international business management, familiar with Chinese language, business culture, foreign-related financial and legal knowledge. Graduates can work as department managers or other management jobs in relevant positions of international business management within 3-5 years, and be competent for international management-related jobs in multinational enterprises.

The Business Administration is one of the earliest majors in the history of Jiaxing University. There are 10 in-service teachers, including 2 professors and 5 associate professors, and 50% have overseas learning experience. The major aims to cultivate data-driven intelligent, inter-disciplinary, innovative and application-oriented management talents with international vision, innovative spirit and social responsibility, who can use big data analytics and quantitative models for management decision-making. Graduates have a wide range of employment and broad career development prospects. They mainly work in governmental agencies, public institutions, listed companies, large state-owned enterprises, private enterprises, etc. The proportion of graduates who continue to pursue a master’s degree at home or abroad is increasing year by year.

The specialty of polymer materials and engineering in Jiaxing University is a first-class specialty in Zhejiang Province, with key laboratories in Zhejiang Province. 29 full-time teachers are doctors, including 7 professors, 10 associate professors and 12 lecturers. The undergraduate specialty of polymer materials and engineering aims to cultivate students with a broad vision of integrating China and the West and solid basic knowledge and skills of polymer materials and engineering, Students of this major will have the ability of international communication, innovation and team spirit, and the ability to solve complex polymer materials and engineering problems. Graduates will become high-quality professionals in polymer materials and engineering and related foreign-related fields.

The Major is Key construction specialty, Characteristic speciality, First-class speciality of Jiaxing University and Standing member of China Leather Industry Association during 12th Five-Year plan, 13th Five-Year plan, 14th Five-Year plan respectively. Now the speciality owns 15 teachers including many professors, vice-professors and lecturers. The range of 35 and 65 students are recruited from all over the China every year.

Main teaching contents of Department of `Light Chemistry Engineering include knowledge of Theory, practice, detection technology and others of design and making fashion Leather & Synthetic Leather, and pay attention to cultivate the abilities of Practice, innovation and management of University students. Since 2016, the department of Light Chemistry Engineering began to carry out the personnel-cultivating mode of integration between industry and education with some famous businesses in the world such as TRUMPLER, STAHL, Smit&Zoon, Z&S, Mingxin xutong New materials, Fuka S&T, s.p.a, Zhejiang province, etc., in order to cultivate the multiplex applied talents of deepening Foundation, widening field of view, strong ability and being good at innovation and serve Leather industry of Countries located in One load and One belt.

We insist on the teaching idea of OBE (Outcome based education ), CQI (Continuous quality improvement ) and the student-centered/oriented & classified training during the teaching of Department of `Light Chemistry Engineering. It has come into being that four featured educational brands such as Leather Cultural Festivals, Leather Experimental Class, Leather Lecture, Competition of Leather Processing Skills. Department of `Light Chemistry Engineering has trained more than 500 excellent graduates for leather industry and society who are severing for the development of leather industry and society.

The textile engineering major of Jiaxing University was founded in 1985, it is the first-class undergraduate major construction site in Zhejiang Province and has the key laboratory of Zhejiang Province.. This major has 25 full-time teachers, including 23 doctorates of philosophy, 7 professors and 9 associate professors, and a key innovation team in Zhejiang Province.Textile Engineering (International Class) aims to cultivate the ability to have a vision of international textile economic and social development, be familiar with textile policies and regulations, and master basic theories and professional knowledge of textile design, testing, technology and international trade. Graduates can engage in technical research, product development, textile inspection and trade in scientific research institutes, textile enterprises, and testing institutions, especially in international trade.

Jiaxing University has joint programs in civil engineering with HTWK-leipzig (2009) and The University Southern Queensland (2015). The civil engineering major of Jiaxing University is a provincial level key major. This major is positioned to train and educate medium and high-level application-oriented talents who can solve complex engineering problems. After the basic engineer practice training, graduates will be qualified to take employment in civil engineering areas including geological inspection, engineering, construction, project supervising, project development, management, consulting and etc. These graduates will be equipped with skills that meet various social needs and are in line with industry trend. They will have broad international perspective, and are expected to grow into mature technical specialist or managers in civil engineering and related areas in about 5 years after graduation.

Specialty Construction: the Clinical Medicine specialty of Jiaxing University is a national first-class undergraduate construction project and Emerging Characteristic specialty. The specialty equipped with 8 affiliated hospitals, 12 Community practice bases and a medical experiment center, which has 15, 000 square meters laboratory.

International Chinese Language Education specialty is the internationalized major of Jiaxing University. This major takes Chinese as the main teaching language, and focuses on the relevant knowledge in international Chinese education. The main courses include linguistics, Chinese literature, pedagogy, Chinese traditional talent and skill, Chinese history, Chinese social economy and culture, and intercultural communication etc. The aim is to cultivate talents in Chinese language education who have a good understanding of China with international perspective, who have a solid grasp of Chinese culture knowledge, who possess excellent cross-cultural communication skills, who have certain organizing, managing and coordinating ability in language and cultural projects. These talents are capable of teaching Chinese as a second language, communicating in Chinese and spreading Chinese culture. These international, interdisciplinary and application-oriented Chinese education talents can be engaged in Chinese language teaching or other related work by using Chinese language.

Preschool Education major of Jiaxing University is the provincial first-class major. The academic fields of faculty team covers pedagogy, psychology, medicine, arts, physical education, literature and other disciplines. The teachers, with high-level professional quality and rich practical experience, include many regional well-known scholars. Preschool education major rooted in the regional educational and cultural resources of Zhejiang Province, where is the forefront of preschool education reform and innovation in China. The undergraduate program of preschool education aims to cultivate inclusive preschool teachers. Students of this major will obtain advanced preschool education theory and excellent professional ability, and can implement high-quality inclusive education for ordinary children and children with special needs. Graduates are qualified for the work of educators and managers in the field of preschool education.

The English major is one of the first-class majors in Jiaxing University, with two undergraduate programs, Business English and English Translation. We pride ourselves on being a teaching faculty: our academics are not only highly experienced in teaching and researching with an international perspective, but also committed teachers eager to encourage and direct your study. Business English aims to cultivate high-level business talents with international vision, strong foreign language communication skills and solid business foundation, while English Translation aims to cultivate high-level translation talents with good language and cultural literacy and bilingual conversion ability. We encourage students to actively participate in extracurricular competitions and practical activities. Students are expected to have good command of English, excellent intercultural communication skills, teamwork spirit and innovative thinking. Graduates will become professionals in international business, Chinese-English bilingual translation and other related fields.

Chinese Language Non-degree Program is offered to international students who are interested in Chinese language and culture. It focuses on the Chinese communicative competency in daily life and academic learning with thorough immersion into a wide range of Chinese cultures including classical and modern literature, visual arts, film, popular culture, and underlying aspects of philosophical and social thought. Courses are conducted in Chinese to improve the proficiency of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Students can apply for the short-term Chinese language and culture program during the semester or during the vacation. In addition to Chinese courses, cultural activities such as Chinese calligraphy, Taiji, folk art experience and Jiangnan cultural experience can be arranged for students.

The general duration of study is 1-3 weeks. The program content, program cost and study duration are tailored to the needs of the group.
